Brown coup goes underground in election news blackout

If you're wondering why there's no news on the latest developments in the rush to get rid of McBuffoon, then the explanation comes courtesy of the rolling election blog from Daniel Finkelstein over at The Times who explains: "correspondents aren't allowed to report politics on election day. They've been told not to report anything after 9am and before 10pm."

So, we have to be bored into oblivion by wall-to-wall Obama instead.

"We now go live to Obama. Did he just move his eyes from left to right? He did! Well, we're joined on the line by some no-name expert in American constitutional affairs to help us analyse the meaning of that eye movement. So, no name... what did you think of the speed with which Obama moved his eyes?"

Zzzzz...

Not to worry though. The ZaNuLiebour lot are still plotting and making plans for no-mates McBuffoon. It's just they've gone underground rather than through the mainstream media, waging their secret and shadowy plot via Hotmail.

We'll say something for the Hobbit Hazel. At least she had the courage to start 'rocking the boat' in a grand, public manner. We could knock her for many things, but she's obviously not scared of the Gormless one. Fair play to her. The rest of them are sticking to the shadows. Unsurprising.

Totalitarian socialists like to work under the cover of darkness. Night of the Long Knives and Kristallnacht, anyone?

UPDATE: It's not a very good election reporting 'blackout'. They're talking about the plot to oust Brown on the BBC six o'clock news bulletin. Which - while our maths may be a bit doubtful, does seem to be before 10pm. There's probably a good reason, but we're confused.
