EU President thinks we love the EU...

Only seen a news snippet for this one, but apparently "the president of the European Commission" - Jose Manuel Barroso - is trying to get the nod for a second, five year term of office.

That's nice, dear. Have you learnt what a referendum is yet? Or what 'no' means..?

According to what we've seen, he said the EU elections "confirmed that voters wanted a strong and ambitious European Union".

Oh really? A lame 40% turnout where socialists were rejected, right-wingers, nationalists and xenophobes do well... and that's a sign of an EU love-in, is it?

From the man who doesn't know what 'no' means...

Jose Manuel Barroso. Manuel... that's a lovely name.

Has anyone told him who the most famous Manuel in British popular culture is?
