The Naked Rambler... still it goes on
It also appears that people in politics and journalism pay attention to what is written in the blogosphere. That's kinda sad and disproportionate, because why should someone with a big mouth and the time necessary to post a few words and cynical p*ss-takes occasionally have disproportionate influence compared to the private individual who writes a letter to their MP or to the editor of their chosen newspaper?
Anyway, if the blogosphere does carry any influence, then we may as well use it to flag up a case that the British media should be watching closely and highlighting more.
Steve Gough - dubbed by the press as 'The Naked Rambler' - has spent most of his time imprisoned since 2005 after attempting to walk from Lands End to John O'Groats in the buff.
We would have written more on this topic but we have noted that Gough has appeared in the dock yet again in the past 48 hours over this issue. So, instead of explicitly expressing our opinion (though you can probably guess what it is), we refer you to two mainstream news links:
Perthshire Advertiser and STV
Is there anyone on the planet who hasn't seen Ewan McGregor's naked bod yet? And haven't we all seen Madonna's bits and pieces? And didn't ITV encourage hundreds of people to strip off naked in a public place in order to make a prime time TV show on the naked body? Oh yes - they did do that. So, we really do not understand the issue here.
Would the left wing mainstream British media care to enlighten us?
