Anyone for a hosepipe ban?
Worst winter in a decade, worst winter in 25 or 30 years... blah blah blah.
Back to normal, pre-hockey stick graph then?
What they really mean is we are encountering normal weather for the time of year.
Dreaming of a white Christmas just like the ones you used to know?
It snowed three days before Christmas.
And it's snowing on twelfth night.
It snows at Christmas sometimes. Get over it.
Then summer will come. The sun will shine for three days. And we'll have to ban everything that marks Western civilisation out as civilisation in horror at 'global warming'.
It'll piddle down for weeks and weeks as it always does in this island in the middle of the North Atlantic. The wind will blow a bit.
And the moment the sun shines for a day, they'll impose a hosepipe ban.
One bad winter does not prove 'global warming' to be a load of old hocum... just as a couple of warm years and the occasional flood do not prove Armageddon is nigh.
We like to think Mother Nature is having the last laugh after all the nonsense we've heard about the 'man made global warming' apocalypse.
But you watch the screaming and screeching the next time the sun dares to shine.
Enjoy the snow. And get out with cameras lest anyone should wish to hide the decline.
