German Pirate Party - brilliant mass action to counter naked scanner tyranny
On Sunday, they showed up at airports in Berlin, Frankfurt and Dusseldorf... without any clothing.
Their 'flashmob' (in every sense of the word) was in protest at the tyrannical new measures being introduced miraculously fast all over the globe supposedly as a security measure against 'terror'.
New devices show security staff through your clothing and create a naked image. The resulting images apparently breach existing UK child porn laws.
The German Pirate Party took with them banners which - translated - read 'No need to scan us - we're already naked!'.
And good for them.
Recently, a report from The Netherlands said that they are developing a portable naked scanner device for the high street and this blogger said, if such a thing is introduced, we'll walk around naked everywhere, all the time.
So, bravo to Germany's Pirate Party for getting there first and for conducting this lighthearted blow back against global tyranny.
There are a number of videos from the actions at the weekend linked in on their website. Here's the first of them:
Wonderful fun. If any branch of the Pirate Party or any other organisation stages a similar action in the UK, do make sure to publicise it widely and we'll all turn up naked - just as tyrants demand of us.
Update: Meanwhile, as the authorities plan more devices to enable them to see us naked whenever they feel like it, naked rambler Steve Gough has been told that he will spend life in prison if he refuses to put clothes on. Life in prison for being naked..? Even though the authorities are using and developing devices to enable them to see us naked? Try fathoming the logic. We can't.
