Bye Bye Geoff-y Baby!

Geoff Hoon, who recently led an half-arsed coup attempt against Gordon Brown's leadership of the Labour Party, has announced that he will not stand at the next General Election.

So, it's adios Geoff. Thanks for the memories, which include telling BBC Radio 4 that any mother whose child might be injured or killed by cluster bombs in Iraq one day might thank us in Britain for having used the controversial weapons.

The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund joined a campaign in 2001 to outlaw the use of cluster bombs - continuing the humanitarian-based work of Diana herself to outlaw anti-personnel landmines.

The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fund was then one of a number of humanitarian organisations to protest against the use of cluster bombs in Iraq in 2003.

So, it's bye-bye Geoff.

Shame the people of Ashfield didn't get chance to vote you out, but that aside, it's one serving Labour MP down, another 300-odd to go.

We thought we'd leave you a little memento to remember your career by:

She won't go quietly, that's the problem...
