Naff off, Boris!
Dear Boris,
As a Londoner and a taxpayer in London; as a small 'c' conservative who might have voted for you at the next London mayoral elections; as a blogger who has always thought you a thoroughly sensible chap...
...we're thoroughly disappointed that you're rolling out dodgy 'Armageddon'-type statistics on 'climate change' and trying to solicit views from the minority of the British public who buy into this subject in response.
He's also surprised and disappointed in you, and so are they.
This blogger understands that 'Call Me Dave' has uttered his proclamations on the topic, but apart from your old school chum, most of your party doesn't even support this nonsense.
Think you might have to put this one down as an own goal.
Do your bit by cycling, by all means. But don't try to force the rest of us into anything. And careful of the statistics you roll out. As with all else to do with 'climate change', you just KNOW someone on the internet will go research the source of those exact figures now.
Silly Boris.
And what a waste of time anyway. If you want some help on this topic, give your old pal Ken Livingstone a call. He did this subject already. It's not even original.
Ken states in the Guardian video linked above that London was being given a few bits of help from big banks and the Clinton Foundation in this regard.
So, not original. A bit of electioneering, perhaps?
Kinda backfired though, innit, me old china?
Love, The Talking Clock.
