Tebbit admits: I did attend Bilderberg

While this blogger finds his comments on civil partnerships to be discomfortingly opposite to our own view on that topic, attention must be drawn for another reason entirely to the latest blog post from Lord Tebbit.

Just a straightforward quote, this:

"I did go to one Bilderberg meeting (on the advice of my officials that I should know what it was all about). I was never invited to another – which tells you something about both the Bilderbergers and me."
Here's the link. Read it yourself.

So, any notion of the Bilderbergs being the imaginings of conspiracy theorists really are now laid to rest entirely.

Brave of him to admit it. Anyone else ever 'come out of the closet' on their Bilderberg attendance?

...and has anyone in the current Cabinet got anything to confess in this regard?

(Bilderberg, not closets, that is...)

Elsewhere, Gordon Brown - he who likes uttering the phrases 'New World Order' and 'global governance' with a frightening regularity and brazen disregard for public opinion - is at it again. Today, he has called for "nothing short of a world constitution for the global financial system". Our friends over at The Final Redoubt have the analysis and the video evidence.

  1. Norman Tebbit has gone up in my estimation due to this admission. The fact that the Bilderbergers didn't invite him back adds futher laurels to Norman's brow.

I must also confess that I have three closets.

Gordon Brown continues to spew ordure as usual.

  3. Lots of people have admitted going to Bildeberg. I think Dennis Healey said the same as Tebbit - went once to see what it was like, didn't get invited back. Thatcher admitted going several times, as did Blair and Brown. Not sure if Cameron has been yet.
