Carswell clashes with Captain Underpants
In it, he responds to learning that Minister for Europe Chris Bryant slated Carswell in a speech to the Progress organisation.
Carswell's beautifully pitched sarcastic response points out the deceptions and anti-democratic position of those in the Labour Party over the question of the European Empire.
He writes: "Chris attacks me for wanting to give the people an in / out EU referendum. Yes, Chris, indeed I do. Like you, Chris, I stood for election on a manifesto pledge to hold a referendum on the European Constitution / Lisbon Treaty. Unlike you, I kept my word. Chris accuses me of wanting to give the people the final say over our Europe policy - rather than just politicians like him and me. Yep. Guilty as charged."
Excellent form for your right to reply to take, Douglas.
We're guessing you were too much of a gentleman to make reference to Chris Bryant's unfortunate 'revelations' in his underpants.
And, we're guessing, that you're far too gentleman-ly and courteous to show everyone Chris Bryant in his posing pouch.
Yes, that would be rather mischievous...
