European Empire dictators fine British hero Nigel Farage €3000
As a result, Jerzy Buzek (Who? Apparently 'President of the European Parliament'. What?) appointed himself judge, jury and executioner and fined our brave, patriotic national hero €3000.
Now, in case you were wondering, that amount of funny 'Europe' money is worth £2728.79p in a proper currency - the great British pound.
Best part of three grand in a fine for comparing someone to a 'damp rag'..? Without any judge or jury involved?
Hurrah for free speech! Hurrah for democracy! Hurrah for Habeas Corpus!
But guess what, EU... by fining Nigel without a judge or jury, you've shown yourselves up as authoritarian dictators yet more!
The majority of we, the British people will never support you, EU - no matter how much you try to stop our democratically elected representatives from speaking their mind.
Well done for exposing them again, Nigel!
Hey Nigel... tell them that fines without a jury and court case are not legal, as per the British constitution as embodied by the Bill of Rights 1689.
Have a read - they can't fine you, Nigel. Not under British law. And as the British signing of the Lisbon Treaty remains to be tested according to the Bill of Rights 1689, make merry some more, Nigel!
Just so you know, the British constitutional document, the Bill of Rights 1689 explicitly states: "That all grants and promises of fines and forfeitures of particular persons before conviction are illegal and void."
Demand a trial under British law, Nigel!
That apart, Nigel has said that he plans to appeal, noting: "Free speech is an expensive business in the European Parliament."
Britain's fellow brilliant patriot, Dan Hannan, has waded into the debate and thrown his support behind Nigel - highlighting the utter hypocrisy of the situation (and, if you don't mind us saying Dan, failing to realise a few instances of the pot calling out the kettle...).
In writing this, we did question who on earth Jerzy Buzek is. Well, who is he? And who elected him judge, jury, executioner and 'President of the EU Parliament'..?
Not me - and not you.
What they gonna do about us asking who HE is? Send their New Labour 'yes men' around to brainwash and attempt to indoctrinate us?
And when is the Ministry of Love being formally announced, anyway?
Hey, EU... you lack a mandate from the people. You have no democratic legitimacy.
Hope the truth isn't too insulting for you.
