Tea parties, coffee parties and pan-European taxes

Who wants to pay pan-European taxes?

Yes, the European Empire is at it again.

Here's our first wave of direct taxation, as MEPs have supported the proposal of a 'Tobin Tax' on financial transactions by a huge majority. Dan Hannan - who so far still hasn't defected to UKIP, inexplicably - has the lowdown.

Wait for the next wave of direct taxation from Brussels. It's a tax on financial transactions today, it'll be a direct tax on your carbon usage next. You wait and see.

Dan Hannan wants a pan European 'Tea Party'. His 'tea' uses the 'taxed enough already' acronym.

We've got a stronger suggestion, inspired by Alex Jones - if daft acronyms are the answer.

How about Coffee parties?

Cheesed Off Funding the Fascist European Empire...

And when we say 'fascist', here's the academic research on the subject. Buy a copy. It's an amazingly enlightening read.
