To air dirty linen, or not to air - that is the question.
In this blogger's view, blogs are great for getting things off your chest - whether that be about the European Empire, civil liberties, the state of music, or the service that one received from the little shop over the road.
Now, one of our real irritations is poor customer service - you know, those businesses and organisations who take your money quick enough but are a bit slow in coming forward with the goods and who, if you dare start hassling for where things are that you've paid for, think it appropriate to be rude rather than apologising for inconvenience.
Perhaps a side benefit of having a blog is granting oneself the opportunity to get those experiences off one's chest, too?
One thing is certain. Customer service in this country is really diabolical.
We exempt from that criticism the staff of Boots, who this blogger thinks generally demonstrate the best standards of customer service we know. And, begrudgingly perhaps, we have to admit that the telephone banking staff of Lloyds TSB are very, very good.
So, to air our moans and whinges or not - that is the question...

Nuclear Blast... German company but outstanding customer service
Finally the Co-op Bank. Been with them since I was 18, too long ago, and they have NEVER got anything wrong ever. Stonking Bank highly recommend them.
Better not to dwell on the twats that don't have a clue don't you think?
(smiles) Some nice positivity in the air. And in that spirit, one more from the clock tower - the experiences we've had with staff in the Pret-a-Manger chain in terms of customer service are nothing but constantly positive and exceptionally brilliant - no matter which branch you go into. Mr. Talking Clock used to go very, very frequently into the branch at Crosswall (near the Tower of London) - there can be no better example of great customer service in Britain than in that particular coffee shop.
