We're liking... the Power2010 poster campaign

We're liking the Power2010 poster campaign, targeting selected MPs in their own constituencies.

First on their target list is Tony McNulty. His 'Wanted for Crimes Against Democracy' poster lists expenses, ID cards and House of Lords reform as his areas of 'shame'.

Power2010 will be in his constituency soon campaigning against him...

However, that's not our main reason for liking what they're doing at the moment. It's what they say in their accompanying statement of intent:

"No matter what your party, if you're an MP who blocks democratic reform, attacks our civil liberties, cheats your expenses and shamelessly attempts to keep it secret, you'll be hearing from us. This is about ensuring we have a reforming parliament after the election. We're going to keep up the pressure until election day to make sure the people who want to represent us in parliament take seriously the need for change," says Pam Giddy, director of Power2010.

As far as this blogger is concerned, if they want to highlight and shame MPs who pass onto the statute books freedom eroding, civil liberty hating wickedness, then they have our blessing.

However, we would also like to see them shaming those who have acted against the interests of our national sovereignty, too.

Power2010 have our blessings for now - we'll be interested to see how things go.
