Dictator Watch: News Round-Up from the Bowels of Brussels

Such a lot happening over the last few days, we have a whole batch of news stories regarding our unelected, irremovable dictators in Brussels backed up that need mentioning.

And while we contend that their mandate to make rules for our country is illegitimate under our written national constitution, here's some of the news, rules and views concerning the European Empire for us all to be aware of.

The ball was set rolling by Conservative MEP Daniel Hannan who disbelievingly told his readers the other day that "Euro-MPs are to be paid for sitting through one of José Manuel Barroso’s speeches; or, rather, fined for not sitting through it."

Just to get across how pathetic and disgusting this is in equal measure, even a Liberal Democrat MEP has turned to the Sunday Telegraph to express her outrage.

Baroness Sarah Ludford tells the newspaper: "This is absurd. We are supposed to be a democratic parliament, one in which MEPs are inspired to attend a debate through its intrinsic interest and relevance. To enforce attendance through the use of disciplinary measures is reminiscent of Stalinist and Maoist stage-management at its worst."

The bit about "democratic" is a joke too, m'lady. MEPs have about as much power to change the course of the European Empire as my empty coffee cup, love - and you all know it, too.

The Telegraph reports that "journalists' expenses will be paid if they accompany the European Commission president on foreign trips, in a new public relations drive which will cost taxpayers hundreds of thousands of euros."

Another report in the Telegraph tells how the "Mafia cash in on lucrative EU wind farm handouts - especially in Sicily". If you didn't think it was all a scam for money beforehand, maybe this report will open your eyes to the great eco-apocalypse swindle.

The Sunday Express reports that "under EU rules introduced two years ago rare but effective drugs can be further developed and exclusive licences awarded" leading to "hundreds of patients [who now] face having life-saving treatment withdrawn because [these] EU rules allow drug companies to obtain exclusive licences and impose enormous price rises".

Open Europe informs us that: "Last week, three associations of Dutch pension funds' issued a quite startling warning to the Dutch Parliament: "If interest rates remain so low" they said "the entire pensions system will be undermined", adding that insurers could take a serious hit as well."

Meanwhile, the Telegraph has a report concerning worries that "Greece’s austerity measures cannot prevent default and will lead to a breakdown of the political order if continued for long, a leading German economist has warned."

If you thought all of these news sources and their reports had a "right wing" agenda, think again. Even the Leftist bible of The Guardian has a big one to share. It reports on a Government 'review' of the UK's extradition agreements - both in light of the Gary McKinnon case... and in response to a case of a man that we were unable to bring back from Germany.

No doubt this review will not seek to balance things in favour of we, the people... they'll probably just look for ways of being equally authoritarian with residents of other formerly sovereign nations - if the very unreassuring "review" results in anything at all.

Listen, Government - we have a written constitution and these extradition treaties are not compatible with it. So scrap them. Or be accused of being traitors and betrayers of the people when we get our country back from the illegitimate bureaucratic invasion that is the European Empire dictatorship. Simple.
