Good.
In breaking news, a man has taken hostages at the US HQ of the Discovery Channel.
Now, we knew already that the global warming lobby were not interested in debate.
Dodgy science and smashing things up a bit in the name of Gaia seems to be their mainstay.
The Washington Post picks up on the developing story, reporting that: "A man with an explosive device entered the Discovery Communications building in downtown Silver Spring Wednesday afternoon and has taken a security guard hostage, Montgomery County Police said."
It adds detail on the as yet unconfirmed link to a threat posted online recently, saying: "A note posted on the Internet on July 18 issues a list of demands to the Discovery Channel, saying the station "MUST broadcast to the world their commitment to save the planet." It lists 11 demands about airing shows that would promote curbing the plant's [sic] population growth, finding solutions for global warming and dismantling "the dangerous US world economy."
"All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions," it reads. "In those programs' places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed. All former pro-birth programs must now push in the direction of stopping human birth, not encouraging it."
So, there we go - the global warming loonies.
Violence and eugenics on one hand, the great carbon tax swindle on the other.
It has long been obvious that there is no debating or discussion possible with these messengers of the fictitious apocalypse.
Now we can safely take the higher ground and refuse to negotiate with hostage-takers, terrorists or eugenicists.
UPDATE: Fox News is quoting from writings by the main suspect, stating that he has been influenced by Daniel Quinn's eco-centred fictional book about a gorilla speaking to a young girl, My Ishmael, and Al Gore's controversy-ridden film An Inconvenient Truth.
SECOND UPDATE: Situation now over. Man
