Conservative MEP admits: We're Even Worse Than Labour on EU

EU-sceptics who voted Conservative and hoped for the best have a horrid truth to face up to today.

While this blog is a UKIP supporting blog, those who voted Conservative need not take our word for it.

No, take the word of Conservative MEP Roger Helmer.

Writing on ConservativeHome, he admits: "The truth is that we’ve been handing powers to Brussels under the Coalition arguably faster than Labour did before us."

It's actually a very good read - though he does try justifying how crap politicians are under the lazy lament of 'the whips made us do it'.

Quite a few of you guys seem to have found it already - a lot of comment posts in response urging Helmer to defect to UKIP.

Defections are good. Though, as a party, UKIP is capable of getting MEPs already. We could do with our first MP.

So, Douglas Carswell... who would you elect as UKIP leader? Who would make you come and join us?

Come on Douglas... you know you want to, deep down...
