Sunday Paper Review: 3rd October 2010

All of the newspapers have stories concerning a warning to be given to U.S. tourists to avoid high profile European sites due to fears of terrorism. All very dramatic. Anyone would think Obama was facing a personal and party political disaster at the ballot box in November...

What else can we find to get cynical about this cold, wet October Sunday?

The People reports - quote - that "LABOUR is demanding a security inquiry into the man at the centre of gay rumours involving top Tory William Hague. They want to know how Christopher Myers, 25, came to accompany the then shadow Foreign Secretary to Afghanistan in January."

We couldn't care less whether William Hague is gay, straight, bisexual, asexual or anything else. Nor could we care less about the sexuality of this Christopher Myers chap.

However, we will now add implied homophobia to our list of complaints against the Labour Party.

After all, do we need a security inquiry if a Prime Minister takes his wife with him anywhere? [Or husband in the case of Mrs. Thatcher, obviously]. Nope. But a male advisor at the centre of rumours? Call out the national guard.

Or mind your own business.

The Sunday Telegraph has extracts from a new book by former World Bank (choke!) economist Joseph Stiglitz who warns that the future of the Euro currency is "looking bleak". He also sounds the alarm on Spain's economy, predicting that: "Spain may be entering the kind of death spiral that afflicted Argentina just a decade ago."

Stand by for the usual comments from the leading European Empire idiots who will no doubt use such omens to spin and wax lyrical about how the disasterous mess facing economies stupid enough to be tied up in their anti-democratic project is an endorsement of everything they represent and an indicator of us needing more... you know they will try to spin it. They always do.

The Observer carries an interesting story about how Hitler's Foreign Minister, Joachim von Ribbentrop, planned to retire to St Michael's Mount in Cornwall. But it wasn't just about a home to retire to. According to the researcher cited in the report, "Hitler had agreed to give [von Ribbentrop] Cornwall" as a treasure from post-invasion Britain.

Of course, the invasion of Britain never happened after hundreds and hundreds of thousands of brave British men gave their lives in the Second World War to defend this island nation from an invasion that would have removed the rights, liberties and freedoms of the people of this green and pleasant land - replacing democracy with an extreme totalitarian dictatorship.

And then, a few years later, British politicians signed up to the European Empire - allowing a Nazi and European fascist planned project to invade and take over the British isles in their entirety; not just the conquest of Cornwall.

Yet somehow, our politicians still have the audacity to look solemn at the Cenotaph every November.

In a totally predictable development, the News of the World reports that: "DAVID Miliband is poised for a sensational return to frontline politics with a top job at the European Union."

Like no-one could see that coming. Treachery has a treasure trove of rewards for those who have surrendered our sovereignty, contrary to our national constitution and treason laws.

Bet he gets away with it, too.

Here's an interesting one try and get your head around - the Independent on Sunday claims that supporters of David Miliband are furious with Lord Voldemort, Peter Mandelson. They claim that attacks by Mandelson on Ed Miliband created the impression that he was managing the David Miliband campaign - creating a backlash in Ed Miliband's favour.

Lovely to see the Miliband and Mandelson camps having a lover's tiff. You'd think it would be all peace and harmony - Mandelson, a former employee of the European Empire (and still on the payroll); Miliband the Elder - a snivelling adherrent to the European project who treacherously signed away the British people's sovereignty without our permission or say so, something he had no right to do. You'd think them a good match for eternal harmony, wouldn't you? But apparently not.

No mention in the above report of allegations of torture and extraordinary rendition. In our experience, socialists really do not like it when you remind them of the civil liberty abuses, human rights abuses, torture allegations and claims of complicity in extraordinary rendition which were committed on their watch under New Labour. They really don't like to be reminded. Which is why we should never let them forget what they did.

One of the crimes committed by the socialists was, of course, the "illegal invasion of Iraq". Today, courtesy of the Mail on Sunday, we are told that: "Tony Blair’s Government was involved in detailed discussions about toppling [Saddam Hussein] earlier than previously disclosed." A classified meeting of April 2002 involving Geoff Hoon is at the centre of the story.

Anyone know what's happening with that Chilcot thing? Are they actually going to bundle the entire Labour Party over to face a UN War Crimes Tribunal? Anything less will be a whitewash. Anyway, normal man-on-the-street goes to jail for smoking; politicians get away with causing hundreds of thousands and millions of deaths. We all know how it works by now. All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others. That kinda thing.

The Sunday Express suggests that: "THOUSANDS of gypsy families kicked out of France and other European countries are set to flock to Britain, to escape the grinding poverty of their homelands."

Well, why not? Everyone else is here already. A bit late to close the doors after the horse has bolted. Let 'em all in. Quite where we're going to put them all, quite how we're going to put services in place to meet their needs, quite how we're going to pay for it - all a mystery.

Once that situation causes the country to become one of "grinding poverty" and hardship, those who have flocked here will no doubt flock back home again...

...while British people enjoy their new lives in Spain.
