The GUY for UKIP is... Nigel Farage!

BREAKING: Nigel Farage has been re-elected as UKIP leader.

News on News are reporting the votes as follows:

Nigel Farage - 6085
Tim Congdon - 2037
David Campbell Bannerman - 1444
Winston McKenzie - 530

Total Votes Cast - 10073

We have, of course, sent our congratulations to Nigel.

You can now read his acceptance speech on the UKIP website (fast work, guys!).

Hopefully, the unsuccessful candidates will not be too disappointed and can - as early as tomorrow - devote their energies to the over-riding cause: United Kingdom independence.

I believe that, in that, there is a vital role for all four gentlemen to fulfil.

More soon.

  1. Well that was a surprise.....Not.

Just hope he can pull UKIP together and make the final jump into the UK public's consciousness. The UK is screaming out for a serious anti-EU party, UKIP are I believe the ones to do it, but it's only in the EU elections that they are taken seriously (so far)

  2. Yep, seconded QM.

It's time to mend some bridges; there's an awful lot of wasted talent out there.

    Well done to NF.
