"The laws of England are the birthright of the people thereof; and all the kings and queens, who shall ascend the throne of this realm, ought to administer the government of the same according to the said laws; and all their officers and ministers ought to serve them respectively, according to the same."

Do us all a favour Vince... and quit already

So, Vince Cable has been caught out in an undercover 'sting' by the Daily Telegraph. In it, Cable demonstrates his arrogant sense of self-importance, telling two phony constituents (journalists) that he could resign and bring down the Government.

Well frankly, we wish he would hurry up and get on with it.

Nobody - nobody at all - voted for the horrid coalition government that we see.

The voters of England voted overwhelmingly for a Conservative government.

And while England does not have a devolved English Parliament it is the areas who do have their own devolved powers already which prevented a Conservative majority.

The result is a coalition in which manifesto pledges have proven to be meaningless and, to address this aspect of the democratic deficit, there is - in my view - a demonstrated need for election manifestos to become legally binding contracts.

So, it is already clear, in my view, that we need another General Election soon in which these people can have manifesto pledges rammed down their throats - morning, noon and night.

So, be my guest. Vince Cable. Resign. Bring down the Government.

Oh, but you're not going to do that just yet, are you?

Sod principles when there's a ministerial car, the trappings of power, the ministerial salary and a load of minions dragging their arses along the floor to worship at your ever-so-important feet to consider.

What a perfectly horrible little man. In my opinion.

UPDATE: Seems things got worse for Cable as comments about Murdoch and BSkyB emerged. The result? He was called in and relieved of part of his duties which were passed to the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport.

Bet Cable doesn't get a resultant pay reduction...

This is utterly ludicrous. He's compromised and damaged goods when it comes to his judgment, damaged and compromised on his impartiality, he thinks he's the most important and powerful man in Britain with the power to bring down Government (ahh, democracy!)...

...and yet they still find a way to bend for a friend and keep him in the coven of the coalition.

Election now, please. These FibDems have all the hallmarks of the loony Marxists and socialists that we all kicked out at the last election.

Just what do we have to do to get rid of these people from power?
