Getting Britain back? Solve the mystery of who our diplomats are supposed to be employees of....

There seems to be so much 'news' around at the moment, that there's no doubt a lot of news being deliberately 'lost' by those with the mindset of seeing atrocities as opportunities to bury 'bad news'.

But there's one small piece of detail which has been written about in the last twenty-four hours which I think we really should turn attention to.

It comes in a blog post from our enduring hope in Westminster, Douglas Carswell MP.

Now, we do hope that Douglas stays away from light aircraft and Parisian tunnels.

But he throws light on something that every democrat, libertarian, freeman and NWO-opponent should question.

He writes:

Ever wondered why there's been a change of government, but no change of policy direction on Europe?

Have a look at the job description of the UK's most senior diplomat in Brussels, Sir Kim Darroch.

It clearly says "the skills required for the period 2008-11 should reflect an emphasis on deepening and reinforcing existing trends and arrangements".

There you have it. The ministers might have changed in May, but the permanent officials are busy "reinforcing existing trends". I suppose that is one way of describing the extension of EU economic governance and our participation in the Eurozone bailout.

It is clearly not simply because we are in Coalition that we have the Euro policy that we do. Even before the General Election - and irrespective of the outcome of it - the permanent Eurocracy in the Foreign Office was expecting a "deeping and reinforcing of existing trends". No wonder the government is Eurosceptic in name only ....

It is officials, like Sir Kim, we must start holding to account.
Actually Douglas, there's a more obvious question that I think you may have missed.

And that question is... who writes the job description of "senior diplomats" like Sir Kim Darroch?

If what Douglas Carswell (alongside many others) says, over a number of posts, is correct...

...then we need to start finding out who writes the job descriptions of these diplomats.

Who is his employer? Which organisation is he accountable to? Who does he serve?

If we find that out, then we stand a chance of finding out why the will of the people is so often denied.

So, the can of worms Douglas Carswell may have inadvertently opened is...

...just who the hell is Sir Kim Darroch and others like him working for?

Are these the 'dark forces' that Her Majesty The Queen supposedly warned Paul Burrell about, for example? If not, then who the hell are people like Darroch answerable to? It must be someone...

[Update: One hour after our last full stop on this post, we note that Charles Moore at the Daily Telegraph is heading in a similar direction. He writes: "Today, we have a nation ruled by a large, subsidised, semi-permanent political, financial and bureaucratic class that seems impervious to voters' wishes. William Hague may be our new Foreign Secretary, but have you noticed any difference in the policy our permanent representative pursues in Brussels?]
