A foreigner's perspective on Farage (someone I'd never even heard of 'til I started checking this blog): Although he certainly has his detractors, whatever else you may say about him, he is a canny politician and, quite simply, a magnificent public speaker.

I think he should keep being himself, just as we've come to expect.
If the pundits are right and 2010 was just the warm up for the real economic crash, this country is going to need a real leader unafraidf to speak his mind.
In that scenario, Nigel's big moment most definitely may still be to come.
It is funny how the masses change opinions at a time of crisis - as any biographer of Winston Churchill would atest...
