And then you realise that you're not represented in this sham of a democracy at all...

I've just received an interesting email from the often brilliant people at Open Europe.

They explain how:

"The Government’s controversial European Union Bill will return to the House of Commons on 24 January, when MPs will discuss the so-called ‘referendum lock’ contained in the Bill. The lock is designed to give the public and Parliament a say over future transfers of powers from Westminster to Brussels. Though it has been subject to plenty of criticism, the Bill offers a golden opportunity to finally put a check on Brussels’ drive towards ‘ever closer union’. However, for the Bill to really withstand the steady stream of new EU laws and power grabs, it has to be strengthened.

We would encourage you to write to your MP urging them to support a stronger and more robust Bill."

And I sat there, email account at the ready, willing and prepared and able to fire off a missive to my supposed representative at the House of Commons...

When it dawned on me that the exercise is a futile and pointless waste of time.

My MP is a Labour apparatchik who was rewarded for their unflinching commitment to the Labour whip with a gig in the Shadow Cabinet.

They stood on a manifesto commitment to a referendum on the EU Constitution Lisbon Treaty and reneged.

In fact, no matter the issue, I have found it - repeatedly - utterly and totally pointless writing to them about anything whatsoever.

I live without representation under a corrupt and traitorous House of Commons passing bad statutes in direct contravention to common law and the national written constitution.

I have no way to seek redress for this matter.

And neither do you.

By definition, this means that we are actually living under tyranny.

We quickly need to come together as a people - all sixty million of us - and work out a different system of law and justice than that functioning under the House of Commons.

We must find a way of totally ignoring them, as they ignore us, and reaffirming a national commitment to our common law and constitution.

  1. But how do we ignore them, TTC.

I have advocated for years simply leaving the field of battle; not voting in EU elections.

Not voting is just seen as apathy, but voting for UKIP to represent us in a place we despise just seems hypocritical.

I’ve also been wondering what UKIP’s policy is on the AV referendum; I would, as you have indicated in a previous post, like to make this a protest vote.

  2. Hiya BJ

The only sensible way of ignoring them could probably be best described by Captain Ranty. It seems the only solution:

I'm not sure what UKIP's official party position on AV is. I believe that personally, Nigel Farage is warm to it.

But I see no reason why, as a mere member, I should toe the party line. And I will be heavily encouraging people to write 'No2EU' on their referendum paper, when the time is right...

  3. On top of which TTC, we then have to consider this:

Never mind about Labour constituency MPs, try having a Conservative one who is also PM!

  4. Quite, WfW. All three of the parties are the same. There are one or two exceptions, but the majority - corrupt, fraudsters, making promises that are not worth the paper they are written on every five years, then shafting us all into oblivion while they feather their own nests.

But there are still way too many sheeple voting LibLabCon which is why it continues.

A vote for any one of those three is a vote to live under tyranny and enslavement.

But if I ever hear any of them saying that we vote: 'to choose a politician to represent us', I will throw up all over their election leaflets in disgust.

  5. Dear fellow Britons, The sad unavoidable truth is this: We are up shit creek without the proverbial paddle! Ignoring our politicians or their misdeeds is going to achieve precisely...NOTHING! & will only serve to hasten our complete subjugation & enslavement to the evil establishment empire. ACTION of the physical type is what is needed and now! Street protests/mass demonstrations are now the ONLY route back to personal freedom, national sovereignty and that currently elusive, diminishing state called democracy. "We the People" are being continuously, deliberately and progressively ignored and subject to the most contemptuous disregard & traitorous acts ever witnessed in this country. Well i have a message for all those guilty of the aforementioned crimes/misdemeanors....You have sown the wind...and you will soon reap the whirlwind!

UKIP opposes AV and instead favours AV+ (in the present circumstances) The objection to AV is that it helps consolidate the main parties' position even more and is worse for the smaller parties.

  7. That's cool, Mr. Boiling Frog - thank you for providing clarity.

Means I can quite happily campaign against AV without putting too many noses out of joint, then.

...but my campaign will be one of deliberately spoiling ballot papers by writing 'No2EU' all over them... :)
