Dear Greece (and Ireland, Portugal, Spain and Italy)... perhaps you might read the bloody document before signing it this time?
Over the weekend, Greece has made angry sounds about the German threat of invading Athens with it's number crunchers.
A threat to national sovereignty and identity, the Greeks have complained.
And we agree with them.
However... it is not the normal thing for us to defend the EU. Yet that is exactly what we're going to do.
The very second statement in the draft treaty texts reads:
"DESIRING to promote conditions for stronger economic growth in the European Union and, to that end, to develop ever-closer coordination of economic policies within the euro area"
If that isn't obvious enough, let us bolden the applicable bit:
"DESIRING to promote conditions for stronger economic growth in the European Union and, to that end, to develop ever-closer coordination of economic policies within the euro area"
Got that? They are not hiding this. It is all very clear. It's one of the OPENING STATEMENTS on the treaty that YOUR national politicians are asked to sign up to.
It is FAR CLEARER than the terms and conditions of a Lloyds TSB (crooks) credit card agreement.
Second clause. Up in big font.
"...ever-closer coordination of economic policies within the euro area"
Got that? They have NOT finished moving things ever closer yet.
They will NEVER stop moving towards ever closer union until they have ONE treasury, ONE foreign office, ONE home office, one flipping everything... just as was always planned.
So please... don't come moaning to me that the EU is doing things that you didn't expect them to be doing.
They've printed it as the SECOND statement to a new treaty in great big huge font. What do you want them to do more?
It is YOUR national traitors who sign up to the bloody things.
